Creator Payout Terms

Effective 9 September 2026 · Whealz

These terms apply if you post a parts or tools link on a mod/build in the Whealz app and choose to set up payouts. They work alongside our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which still apply.

1. How it works

When you add a "Buy link" to a mod, Whealz automatically tags it so that if someone follows your link and buys something from that retailer, Whealz earns a commission from the retailer. Whealz splits that commission with you.

2. The split

Your share of Whealz's commission50%
Minimum payout per period$25 (smaller amounts carry forward to the next period)
Payout frequencyMonthly

This split may change in the future - for example, subscribers to a future paid tier may receive a higher share. We'll update this page and notify creators through the app before any change takes effect.

3. Which retailers count

Only links to retailers Whealz has an active affiliate relationship with earn a commission - not every link you post. As of this writing that includes Amazon, AutoDoc, and AutoZone; we may add or remove retailers over time. A link to a retailer we don't have a relationship with still works normally for whoever clicks it, it just doesn't earn anything.

4. How earnings are calculated

Each retailer (or the affiliate network it sells through) reports commission earnings to Whealz on its own schedule, which is outside our control - most retailers hold a return/cancellation window before a sale is finalized, so earnings for a given month are typically confirmed some weeks later, not instantly. Whealz reconciles these reports and calculates your share based on the actual, confirmed commission attributed to your links for that period.

5. Getting paid

Payouts are sent via Stripe, our payment processor. You'll need to complete a one-time Stripe onboarding (from Settings ▸ Payouts in the app) with your own identity and bank details - Stripe handles this directly, we never see or store your bank details ourselves. If you haven't finished onboarding by the time a payout is calculated, it's held and paid automatically once you do.

6. Taxes

If your payouts exceed the applicable annual reporting threshold, Stripe will generate and deliver the required tax form (for example, a 1099-K in the United States) directly through your Stripe account. You're responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on amounts you receive.

7. Disputes and corrections

If you believe a payout is wrong, contact [email protected] within 60 days of that payout period with the details. We'll investigate against the underlying retailer/network report and correct genuine errors in the next payout cycle.

This program can change. We may adjust the split, the minimum, the payout schedule, or which retailers participate, and we may pause or end the program entirely, with notice through the app. Links you've already posted keep working either way - only the revenue-share part is affected.
